Clarity Professional Development is composed of a group of professionals having a common commitment to sharing and building a better balance in life. Two people form the core team of Clarity Professional Development, and several associates provide complimentary skills and services.
Margaret E. (Meg) Mann, BA, JD, MSA, MCC
Meg Mann is a Master Certified Coach, an international leadership facilitator, and a coach trainer. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, spending two years in Florence, Italy. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1978 from Stetson University College of Law in Florida. She obtained a Masters of Science in Administration from Boston University, Brussels in 2001. Meg served as a public prosecutor and worked many years in private practice as a commercial trial attorney, becoming managing partner of a law firm. She then served as in-house counsel and director of human resources for a company based in Dallas, Texas. In 1994 Meg moved to Slovakia and served as the American Bar Association's liaison there, working with Slovak ministries, the Parliament and local judges and attorneys to assist in the establishment of the rule of law. From 1995 through 2001 Meg and her husband Mark Brown developed and delivered management-training programs and coaching throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Russia for KPMG.
Meg currently works as an executive coach as well as a leadership facilitator and a coach trainer, serving clients throughout Europe, in Asia and the US. As a senior faculty member for Lore International Institute, Meg has delivered leadership training courses and coached executives at large multinationals, consultancies and telecommunications companies. She has also delivered management and executive development courses to The European Commission and the European Parliament.
Meg serves as an assessor for the International Coach Federation (ICF), serves on committees for ICF, works as a coach trainer for the Success Unlimited Network of Coaches, is a European leader for the Strategic Executive Coach Alliance. Meg served on the faculty of the Solvay Business School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Boston University Graduate Center Brussels. She is qualified as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator facilitator (Steps I and II) and TILT Leadership assessments. A native of the US, Margaret has also lived in Guatemala, Italy, Slovakia, and Belgium. She now resides in Portugal.
Mark A. Brown, MA, MBA, PCC
Mark Brown is a leadership educator and executive coach based in Portugal. Since 1996 he has worked with multinationals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to develop their leaders and executives. He has also worked extensively with EU institutions in Brussels and Luxembourg and as a professor of business at several European universities. Mark has leveraged his background in economics, strategy, and leadership to build a particular expertise in the development of business leaders in emerging markets.Many of these executives hold or seek top leadership positions in their firms. Mark offers them the benefit of his experience with a wide range of international businesses, his extensive experience abroad, and his professional background in finance and corporate strategy. He partners with his clients to make them more aware of their leadership capabilities and then to leverage those capabilities.
Mark holds an MBA from Solvay Business School in Brussels and an MA from SAIS - Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. He earned a diploma from the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a BA from the University of Florida. Mark is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and of the Strategic Executive Coaching Alliance (SECA). He works comfortably in English, Portuguese and Spanish and also speaks French.
